Domain names only use letters, numbers, and hyphens ("-"). Spaces and other symbols are not allowed, and domains cannot begin or end with a hyphen. Domain names are not case sensitive. They can be between 2 and 63 total characters, not including the domain extension (.com, .net, .org, etc.)

Keep domain names the same as your business name. Customers who do not know your Web address may try to guess it based on your company name. To minimize confusion, we recommend choosing a domain that is exactly the same as your company name, or a logical abbreviation. If you anticipate having a website, we recommend registering multiple versions of your domain name that will point to your website to ensure customers find your business online.

Hard to beat .com. Try to register the .com version of your name because it is the most well-known domain name extension. If .com is taken then consider using .net, .org (for noncommercial use), .us, .info, or .biz.

Keep your domain name short. Shorter names can be easier to remember and type. However, don't get carried away with abbreviations that only you will recognize. Try to use abbreviations that make logical sense and center around the main words in your business name.
